IPCC scientists have warned that a 1.5 degrees Celsius rise in temperatures is a crucial threshold for avoiding the most dangerous and irreversible effects of climate change. 

 

To prevent the planet from passing the point of no return, this is the defining decade.

Simon Hojka

Project Director, New World Development

    Simon is a Project Director for New World Development and heads the sustainability section within the Group's project management department. Simon has worked for the New World Group for more than 20 years, with experience gained on a wide variety of projects including educational facilities, hospitals, residential developments, retail malls and luxury hotel resorts, within Hong Kong, Macau and South East Asia. He is a member of the team engaged on the 11 Skies project which will be Hong Kong's largest hub for retail, dining and entertainment, and was responsible for the successful delivery of Rosewood Phuket, which is a LEED Gold certified luxury hotel resort and residential development. Prior to joining New World, Simon worked for a leading main contractor and was employed on several large scale building and civil engineering projects within the UK, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
