Diego Dultzin Lacoste
French entrepreneur Diego Dultzin Lacoste is one half of the duo behind OnTheList, a Members-Only Flash Sales concept founded in 2016 which offers members exclusive access to luxury brands at discounted prices, for a limited time. With co-founder Delphine Lefay, Diego oversees the team of entrepreneur-minded individuals, and the company’s overall direction and strategic development.
Prior to co-founding OnTheList, Diego gained international experience in the retail sector across Asia Pacific and Europe, with a track record in brand management and business development. He has worked with some fashion and luxury brands including CHANEL & THE KOOPLES.
After relocating to Hong Kong in 2015, Diego and Delphine noticed the lack of options for luxury brands to sell excess, past-season inventory. It was also through the product disposal methods they had observed, where storage costs and brand integrity were undermined, that they saw an opportunity to provide a sustainable channel for luxury retailers. OnTheList was subsequently founded in 2016 to alleviate the fashion waste predicament and offer brands an eco-friendly way to offload past-season merchandise by hosting flash sales for the registered OnTheList Members.
OnTheList has enjoyed nice developments through the years, having hosted a few pop-up sales during its initial years to now hundreds of flash sales every year in the cities were its operating: Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei and also more recently Australia, South Korea and Malaysia via the online channel. With over 500 partner brands including the likes of Ted Baker, Le Creuset, Burberry, Furla, Kenzo, Michael Kors, Shiseido, Stella McCartney, Tory Burch, etc.
Early 2021, looking at the success in Europe of the anti-food waste App, Delphine & Diego reached out to Phenix teams in Paris to launch it in Hong Kong. With 3,600 tons of food wasted daily in Hong Kong, timing seemed adequate to start Phenix App in HK to help F&B retailers to sell the qualitative surplus of the day.
Diego holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Management from Paris Dauphine University. He grew up in a strong entrepreneur back-ground, Diego’s great-grandfather being René Lacoste, founder of the eponym brand. In his free time, Diego enjoys qualitative time with baby Pablo. He also loves traveling, when it was still possible to travel!
